Experience:
Minimum of one year applicable experience, two years preferred. CNA/HHA or other applicable certification a plus.
Duties:
May include, but are not limited to:
- Conversation/fellowship
- Join in light recreation and exercise
- Light housekeeping
- Meal planning/preparation
- Grocery shopping/errands
- Laundry
- Fall prevention
- Play games
- Assist with organization
- Read to client
- Transportation
- Client /family advocate
- Escort to social events
- Out-of-town travel accompaniment
- Medication/exercise reminders
- Medication pick-ups
- Pet care
- Light gardening
- Alzheimer’s/dementia care
- Assistance with grooming and hygiene
- Assistance with dressing
- Assistance with bathing
- Assistance with toileting/incontinence care
- Feeding assistance
- Assistance with transfers/ambulation (mild cases only)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Submit to criminal background check and DMV check
- Ability to pass drug screen, if requested
- Have reliable vehicle
- Possess a valid driver’s license and provide proof of valid auto insurance
- Flexibility with regards to schedule
- Complete CPR certification training within 120 days of being hired or provide proof of active certification
- Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to work legally in the U.S.
